FALLOUT 3 REVIEW
It is the year 2277, in Washington D.C. Bombs were dropped on the US a hundred or two years before. You start out as a baby being born. At this point you may choose your Race and facial features.
You spend the first hour or so of game play as a kid to a teen, growing up in vault 101, one of many shelters against the harsh wasteland. After your father leaves the vault unexpectedly, you decide to go after him.
Fallout 3, in my opinion, is an amazing game with a rich storyline and colorful characters.
It has some beautiful landscapes and the graphics aren't bad either.
Fallout 3 introduces a new way to do combat: V.A.T.S... V.A.T.S lets you slow down time and target specific body parts, like the head to get a critical shot. You can also shoot the weapon right out of opponents hands. The weapons and armor are futuristic, but worn out looking, which looks "right" in the wasteland setting.
The quests are satisfying, and can usually be completed multiple ways. Fallout 3 is a massive and complex game, I haven't even scratched the surface on this one. I would recommend Fallout 3 to anyone who likes RPGs or Shooters.
FINAL SCORE: 9/10
